为继承和弘扬中华民族尊敬、关爱老人的传统美德，进一步发扬志愿者精神，2022年2月27日上午，在学校党总支的领导下，涪陵外国语学校青年志愿者服务队开展了学雷锋月的首个活动——“爱心走进敬老院，志愿服务暖人心”的敬老院志愿实践活动。

译：In order to inherit the traditional virtue of respecting and caring for the old of the Chinese nation and further carry forward the volunteer spirit, on the morning of February 27, 2022, under the organization of the Youth League Committee and the young pioneers, the young volunteer service team of Fuling Foreign Language School carried out the voluntary practice called "Love Enters the Nursing Home and Voluntary Service Warms the Hearts of the People", the first activity of Learning from Lei Feng Month.

首先映入老人们眼帘的，是妙趣横生的节目汇演。从阳光活力的舞蹈串烧，到婉转悠扬的小提琴独奏、笛子独奏、葫芦丝独奏，再到温婉典雅的古典舞，最后以全体志愿者激情合唱的我校校歌——《开创新纪元》作为结束。轻歌曼舞，余音绕梁，青春的气息扑面而来，瞬间拉近了与老人之间的距离，让老人感受到了社会的温暖。

译：The first thing that catches the eyes of the elderly is the funny show. From the dance string burning with sunshine and vitality, to the gentle and melodious violin solo, flute solo and Hulusi solo, to the gentle and elegant classical dance, and finally ended with the song of our school - "Open an Era of Innovation" sung by all volunteers. Singing and dancing, lingering sound, and the breath of youth come to our faces, which instantly shortens the distance with the elderly and makes the elderly feel the warmth of society.

表演结束后，带队领导及老师与志愿者们一起，为所有老人分发了慰问的礼品，并送上了温暖体贴的问候。有的依照不同老人的性格与他们进行更好的互动，捶捶背、捏捏肩、聊聊天，将温情融进了老人们的心中；有的就将一切敬与爱都表现在了默默无闻的行动里，主动拿起扫帚帮老人清洁房间，整理内务。令人感动的是，在活动中，老人对志愿者说:“平时生活都挺枯燥，但今天有了这些好孩子的陪伴，就感觉不孤独了”。

译：After the performance, the team leaders and teachers, together with the volunteers, distributed small gifts to the old. Some volunteers interacted better with the old people according to their personalities, beating their backs, pinching their shoulders and chatting, so as to integrate the warmth into the hearts of them; Some show all respect and love in unknown actions, and take the initiative to pick up the broom to help the old man clean the room and tidy up the house. What is moving is that during the activity, the old said to the volunteers, "Life is very boring at ordinary times, but today, with the company of these good children, I don't feel lonely."

志愿活动很快进入尾声，志愿者和老人们一一告别。他们相处的时间虽然很短暂，但这却丰富了老人的生活，为他们增添了青春的色彩，也让志愿者们更加深刻地认识到敬老爱老的意义，也让志愿之风在社会上得以传播，让“敬老、爱老、助老”的传统美德进一步得到继承发扬。
