习近平总书记指出：“礼仪是宣示价值观、教化人民的有效方式。”在刚刚过去的三月，涪陵外国语学校以“说文明话、行文明举、做文明人、展涪外风采”为活动宗旨，开展了“文明礼貌月”系列活动，成绩斐然，4月8日上午，学校在“烽火报告厅”举行了文明礼貌月活动总结颁奖典礼，对在文明礼貌月活动中特别优秀的个人和班级进行了表彰。全体领导和教师以及获奖学生到现场参加总结颁奖典礼，各班级在教室收看直播。至此，由学校党总支组织开展的文明礼貌月系列活动已取得阶段成果。

译：General Secretary Xi Jinping pointed out that ‘etiquette is an effective way to show values and educate the people’. In the past March, Fuling Foreign Language School has held a series of ‘Civilization and Politeness Month’ activities with the purpose of ‘speaking civilized words, behaving properly, being civilized people, and showing style of the school’, which achieved good outcomes. On the morning of April 8th, our school held a ceremony for summarizing and awarding the activities of the Month of Civility and Politeness in the Fenghuo Lecture Hall, and commended the outstanding individuals and classes in this activity. All the leaders, teachers and award-winning students attended the award ceremony, and each class watched the live broadcast in their classrooms. So far, the series of civilization and politeness month activities organized by the school party branch have attained phased results. 

第一项，升旗仪式

颁奖典礼以庄严肃穆的升旗仪式拉开了帷幕，雄壮的国歌，鲜艳的五星红旗，灿烂的朝阳，和煦的春风，涪外人激情满怀。

译：The award ceremony kicked off with a solemn flag-raising ceremony. The majestic national anthem, the bright five-star red flag, the splendid morning sun and the warm spring breeze all filled everyone with passion.

第二项，颁奖仪式

三月的春风沁人心脾，三月的文明之花竞相绽放。他们是文明礼貌月中表现优异的文明之星和文明班级。

译：The spring breeze in March was gladdening hearts and refreshing minds. All kinds of  flowers which were the symbols of civilization bloomed in March. They were the Civilization Stars and Civilization Classes with excellent performance during the Civilization and Politeness Month.

第二轮颁发的是小学四五年级“文明之星”，他们是：张铁山、朱芷漪、李蕊淇等20名同学。

第三轮颁发的是初中六七年级“文明之星”，他们是：郭吟秋、李静瑶、黄昕怡等15名同学。

第四轮颁发的是初中八九年级“文明之星”，他们是：蒋亭沨、石新宇、刘虹言等16名同学。

第五轮颁发的是高中“文明之星”，他们是：杜宛程、郑红、邓雪玲等12名同学。

第六轮颁发的是小学“文明班级”，他们是：一年级2班、一年级7班、二年级2班、二年级8班、三年级3班、三年级5班、四年级1班、四年级7班、五年级7班、五年级11班。

第七轮颁发的是初中、高中“文明班级”，他们是：六年级2班、 六年级4班、六年级7班、七年级3班、七年级7班、八年级2班、八年级4班、九年级3班、九年级4班、高一7班、高一4班。

学校党总支副书记姚珊做总结

姚书记总结道：“本次活动，有以下几个特点，一是发动面广，参与人员多，全员全过程氛围浓厚。二是活动形式多样、持续。三是效果良好，文明礼貌，蔚然成风。四是学部领导重视，活动开展的扎实，评选的先进经得起检验。”

译：School secretary Yao Shan said, ‘this event has the following characteristics. First of all, it has a wide range including enormous participants, and a strong atmosphere throughout the whole process. Secondly, the activities are diverse and continuous. Thirdly, the result is pleasantly surprised, making civilization and politeness a trend. Fourthly, the leaders of all departments attach great importance to the activities, so that the activities are carried out smoothly, and the selected advanced people can stand the trial. ’

“不学礼无以立，人无礼则不生，事无礼则不成，国无礼则不宁。”虽然三月已结束，但文明礼貌的活动却并没有结束。涪陵外国语学校必将文明之风吹遍校园的每个角落，让文明的理念深深扎根于师生的心中，将文明礼仪习惯变成学生终身的财富。

译：‘If you don't learn etiquette and manners, it will be difficult to have a place to stand and survive. If you don’t observe the proprieties, you will not be successful. Governing a country without etiquette cannot possess peace and security’. Although March has passed, the civilization and politeness activities are not over. Fuling Foreign Language School will definitely blow the wind of civilization to every corner, allowing the concept of civilization to be deeply rooted in the hearts of teachers and students and to turn civilized etiquette habits into lifelong wealth for students.
