5月，是我校“首届科技节”活动月，为配合此次活动的开展，同时为了培养学生的动手能力和学习科学、探索科学奥秘的兴趣，31日上午，我校又开展了“科学小实验，承载大梦想”试验现场演示项目比赛。

译：May is the activity month of ‘First Science and Technology Festival’ in our school. Aiming to cooperate with the development of this activity, to cultivate students' hands-on ability and interest in learning science and exploring scientific mysteries, on the morning of the 31st, our school launched a project competition with the theme of ‘Small Science Experiments Can Carry Big Dreams’.

比赛现场，来自小学部各个年级的小选手们分批次来到实验现场。向评委老师们展示他们神奇的实验项目。实验操作过程谨慎有序，讲解实验原理和实验现象时清晰流畅，每位选手都出色地完成了本次操作竞赛。

译：At the competition site, contestants from all grades of the primary school came to the experimental site in batches to show their magical experimental projects to the judges and teachers. The process of experimental operation was carried out in a cautious and orderly manner. Every contestant explained the experimental principles and experimental phenomena with clear thoughts and fluent languages and they all completed the operation competition well.

每次限3人同时进行，学生需要准备在实验完毕后的评审答辩。评委们饶有兴趣地问，这个实验谁教的，你练习了几次，原理是什么之类的简单问题，并不是要考倒孩子，而是为了让孩子敢大胆表达，在实验中获得成就感和自豪感。班主任老师也现场陪同学生，为孩子们提供保障并加油。评委老师们通过实验材料是否准备充分、实验过程描述是否清晰、实验原理能否简单描述、实验过程操作是否完整无错等环节对参赛选手进行综合评价。无论最后的结果怎么样，我们的小科学家们都在这一次比赛中都获得成长，毕竟，过程最精彩。

译：Only 3 people were allowed to conduct each experiment at the same time, and students need to prepare for the evaluation and defense after the experiment was completed. Judges asked questions with great interest, such as ‘who taught this experiment, how many times did you practice it, what is the principle’, etc., not to confuse the child, but to enable the child to express themselves boldly, and to gain a sense of achievement and pride. Class advisers also accompanied the students on the spot, providing protection and cheering for them. The judges made a comprehensive evaluation for the contestants based on whether the experimental materials were fully prepared, whether the description of the experimental process was clear, whether the experimental principle could be briefly described, and whether the operation of the experimental process was complete and error-free. No matter what the final result was, our 'little scientists' have grown up in this competition. After all, the process was the most significant.

科技是创新的课堂，科技是梦想的舞台。每一个小实验，就像一粒希望的种子，播撒在孩子们心中，承载着每个孩子成为科学家的梦想。本次活动，培养了涪外学子热爱科学、大胆实践和动手操作的能力，同时还丰富了学生们的校园生活。

译：Technology is a classroom for innovation and a stage for dreams. Each small experiment is like a seed full of hope, sown in the hearts of the children, carrying the dream of each child to become a scientist. This activity made the students of Fuling Foreign Language School love science more, and developed their ability to bold practice and hands-on operation, and also enriched the students' campus life.
