为了提高同学们对地理学习的兴趣，克服学习中国地理的困难，初中地理组于2021年10月1日至20日举办了“胸怀祖国，放眼世界”之中国地图手绘大赛。

译：In order to increase students’ interest in geography learning and overcome the difficulties in the study, the geography teachers of junior high school organized a competition about Hand-painting Competition for China Map, based on “having the whole country in mind and the entire world in view”.

通过查阅资料、手绘中国地图，学生不仅能够轻松掌握中国地理基础知识，而且能够培养独特的地理审美情趣，展示自己对祖国拳拳的热爱之情。

译：The students drew delicate maps after searching some information on the Internet. Students can not only easily master the basic knowledge of Chinese geography, but also cultivate their unique geographical aesthetic taste. It’s a good way to show their love to our great country.

活动期间，学生准备充分，精心绘制出了各式各样的“专属”地图，最后按照活动要求评选出了5幅特等奖、5幅一等奖、10幅二等奖、20幅三等奖等众多优秀作品。

译：At last, 5 students got the special awards, 5 students got the first prizes, 10 students got the second prizes, 20 students got the third prizes and many other excellent works were awarded as well.

活动取得了圆满成功，这离不开初中地理组全体教师和美术老师的悉心指导以及八年级全体同学的共同努力。希望大家在今后的学习生活中，能够继续保持昂扬向上的学习态度，为守护祖国献出自己的一份力量！

译：The event was a complete success, which was inseparable from the careful guidance of all teachers in the junior high school geography group and art teachers, especially the joint efforts of all students in Grade Eight.
