4月7日，全国政协委员、上海新纪元教育集团董事长陈伟志来涪指导重庆市涪陵外国语学校工作，在涪期间，涪陵区委书记王志杰、区委副书记喻显镔、区政府副区长冯星贵和区教委主任孙应勇等与陈董事长一行就落实习近平总书记的“真正把青少年培养成为拥有‘四个自信’的孩子”讲话精神，科创教育、拔尖人才培养等进行了广泛而深入的交流。

译：On April 7th, Chen Weizhi, a member of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and Chairman of Shanghai New Epoch Education Group, came to Chongqing Fuling Foreign Language school to guide the work. During the visit, Fu Ling District Party Secretary Wang Zhijie, Deputy Party Secretary Yu Xianbin, Deputy District Mayor Feng Xinggui, and Director of the District Education Commission Sun Yingyong held extensive and in-depth discussions with Chairman Chen and his delegation on implementing the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping's speech of "truly cultivating young people into children with four self-confidences" and promoting science and innovation education, as well as cultivating top-notch talents.

陈董事长凌晨一点到涪陵，休息片刻，一早就来到学校，在校长魏昌龙、党总支书记乐三奎等学校相关负责人陪同下，认真调研了“体教”融合场馆、综合楼建设与使用情况，对教师食堂建设、教室调整等进行了现场办公。董事长所到之处，都要亲自“摇一摇”“摸一摸”，护栏安装的结实不？卫生做的彻底不？对每处的细节都有专业的要求。

译：Chairman Chen arrived in Fuling at 1:00 am, rested for a moment, and arrived at the school early in the morning. Accompanied by school principal Wei Changlong, Party secretary Le Sankui, and other school officials, he conducted a thorough investigation of the integration of sports and education venues, the construction and use of the comprehensive building, and on-site work on the construction of the teachers' canteen and classroom adjustments. Wherever Chairman Chen went, he would personally "shake and touch" to see if the guardrails were sturdy enough, and if the hygiene was thorough. He had professional requirements for every detail.

陈董事长在听取校长魏昌龙的工作汇报后，对学校三年来的变化十分满意，对学校教学质量取得的骄人成绩十分高兴。

陈董事长对学校未来工作提出了要求，他强调，重庆市涪陵外国语学校一定要进一步追求高品质、高品位，学校建设要在“精致”二字上做文章，要办当地人满意的“一流教育”。

在谈到教学质量时，陈董事长指出，要坚持“四个自信”，坚持立德树人，要提高人才自主培养质量，着力造就拔尖创新人才培养，构建以科创教育为核心的基础教育培养体系，要通过科技节、STEM课堂、科创社团、科创竞赛等多形式开展科技创新全员普及教育，为超常学生提供更丰富的活动机会和更有挑战性的课堂要求；要更新现行中小学数理化、科技、计算机、生物教材中较为陈旧的内容，并适当增加现代内容，尤其是近二三十年数理化诺贝尔奖的获奖内容。要配备好相应的科创实验室和科技图书馆。通过实践培养孩子动手实验实践能力、跨学科学习能力。要加大复合型科创特色教师培养力度，培养其探究能力。在注重拔尖人才培养的同时，小学要抓好“习惯养成”教育，初中、高中要抓好“励志”教育，把学校已经成型的“四个自信”教育发扬光大，与激情教育、卓越教育、科创教育、拔尖人才培养有机结合起来。

译：When it came to teaching quality, Chairman Chen pointed out that we must adhere to the "four confidences," adhere to the moral education of students, improve the quality of self-cultivation of talents, focus on creating innovative talents, and construct a basic education training system with science and technology education as the core. In addition, we must use various forms such as science and technology festivals, STEM classrooms, science and technology clubs, and science and technology competitions to carry out science and technology innovation education for all staff, providing more opportunities for enrichment and challenging classrooms for outstanding students. We must update the relatively old content in current primary and secondary school textbooks for mathematics, physics, chemistry, technology, computer science, and biology and add modern content, especially the Nobel Prize-winning content for mathematics, physics, and chemistry in the past twenty to thirty years. We should equip corresponding science and technology laboratories and technology libraries. Through practice, we can cultivate children's hands-on experimental and interdisciplinary learning abilities. Moreover, we must increase the strength of cultivating compound science and technology teachers and develop their inquiry ability. While emphasizing the cultivation of outstanding talents, we are supposed to focus on developing good habits in elementary schools and motivation education in junior and senior high schools. We need to develop and expand the "four confidences" education that has already taken shape in the school and combine it organically with passionate education, excellent education, science and technology education, and outstanding talent cultivation.

在学校建设方面，陈董事长强调，要精细化，要充分考虑“通风、透光”，要注重细节，比如门框要装饰一下，再比如“架空层”处理，不能顾此失彼，必须强调“高端、高品位”，不仅教学质量是一流的，学校校园建设也应该是一流的。

译：In terms of school construction, Chairman Chen emphasized the need for refinement, full consideration of "ventilation and lighting," and attention to details, such as adding decorations to the door frames and handling the "overhead layer." We cannot neglect one for the other; we must emphasize "high-end, high-standard" development. 陈董事长特别关心教师的生活，对教师食堂建设提出了非常高的要求，做了重要的、非常明确和具体的安排。
