小小棋手正襟危坐，黑白方格之间，运筹帷幄。一堂生动有趣的国际象棋课正在涪陵外国语学校进行。授课老师一边讲解，一边向学生们提问，同时还让同学们相互“对弈”，激发学生的兴趣，从而更好地理解国际象棋。

译：The little chess players sat upright in front of the chessboard, thinking about how to make the next move. A lively and interesting chess lesson was being held at Fuling Foreign Language School. The teacher explained the methods and asked questions to the students. At the same time, she asked the students to play against each other, which can stimulate students' interest and make them understand chess better.

涪陵外国语学校自2017年开展国际象棋第二课堂以来，设置了三间专用教室，配备专业的教学棋具、训练棋具、棋钟、教学书籍等，同时配备了3名专职教师，继而培养了一批又一批优秀的小棋手，并多次获得区内国际象棋比赛团体一等奖。涪陵外国语学校必将以国际象棋拓宽孩子们的视野，为孩子们铺就一条通往世界的多元发展之路。
