水本无华，相荡而成涟漪；石本无火，相击而显灵光。为进一步加速新入职教师的成长，全面提高教师的专业素养，增强教师设计、组织、把控课堂教学的能力，努力造就一批“为人师表、爱岗敬业、严谨笃学、与时俱进”的教师队伍，高中部于11月25日举办了首届“烽火杯”高中优质课堂大赛。

作为高中部教师一次全员学习与提高的过程，要求所有教师人人参与，鼓励参赛教师以不同的课型参赛。赛前，教务处制定了《首届优质课比赛活动实施方案》，对此次活动提出了具体的要求和精细的评分标准。学校特邀请涪陵实验中学各学科教研组长骨干教师和涪陵教科所学科专家担任此次竞赛评委，各学科组所有成员参与听课。
