重庆市涪陵食品药品检验所是一所担负着十个区县的食品、药品和化妆品的安全检验重任的食品药品检验机构。本所主要负责食品、药品、化妆品的监督检验、质量仲裁检验与鉴定以及食品、药品、化妆品相关委托检验和业务咨询。当日，同学们集合队伍后跟随工作人员开始了“食品安全之旅”。

首先，同学们来到食品药品安全科普基地，通过一幅幅图文并茂、内容丰富、资料翔实的宣传展板了解了近年来发生的食品安全事件、食品安全法律法规和食品安全小常识。

活动中，同学们还零距离观看了检验中心专业人员做各种检测实验。透过窗户，一台台先进检测设备陈列在实验室里，同学们纷纷睁大眼睛、竖起耳朵，认真听取工作人员讲解机器的功能及操作使用。现场，在检验中心工作人员的介绍下，同学们一一认识了实验室里的各种检验仪器设备。

此次活动，不仅普及了食品药品安全知识，让学生近距离感受食品药品检验检测工作，进一步认识和了解食品药品检验工作的重要性，同时也体验到了检验工作和日常生活的密切关系。同学们纷纷表示要从自身做起，当好食品安全知识传播者、守护者，严防严控食品安全风险，营造“人人关心食品安全，人人重视食品安全”的浓厚氛围。
